a collage of pictures from grades 5K, 2 and 4 from there fire station visit

October is designated as Fire Prevention Month, a period dedicated to enhancing public awareness about fire safety. During this month, students from 5K, Grade 2 and Grade 4 got the opportunity to visit our local fire department. Visiting our local fire station reminded our students about the importance of fire prevention and emergency response,  while also showcasing the incredible work of our local volunteer fire department. Students got hands-on experience exploring fire trucks, learning about fire safety equipment, and learning about the different aspects of being a fireman. By establishing this connection with the local fire department during Fire Prevention Month students not only gained a deeper appreciation for the selfless service of these volunteers, but were also empowered with life-saving knowledge and skills on how to protect themselves and their families. Thank you Fennimore Fire Department! #fes #EaglesSoar
