4K Tie Party with 5 pictures from the party

If at first you don't succeed, tie, tie again! The 4K students have been working super hard all year to learn to tie their own shoes and this week it was time to celebrate their accomplishment! In a celebration complete with fancy ties and certificates, 4K teachers announced that all of their students were able to tie their shoes on their own!

Each loop and knot tied by our 4K students symbolizes so much more than just mastering a skill. It's a testament to their growing independence, resilience, and determination. To tie a shoe, children must be able to use their fine motor skills to tie the knot, use the appropriate tension to tighten the laces so the shoe won’t fall off, and do all the steps in the correct order. The best way to learn how to do this is by practicing and that is just what our 4K students did. Practice, practice, practice! Speaking of practice, it is super important that students continue to practice all summer long. If they don't, they will forget quickly and struggle when they return to Kindergarten in the Fall.

Great job 4K students and remember to keep practicing your shoe tying at home and in school!
