Fennimore Middle School would like to welcome Matt Fry to our staff as we start the 2021-22 school year. Matt comes to us from Lancaster School District where he taught in the middle school for 10 years. In Fennimore, Mr. Fry will teach English 6, English 7, and English 8 as well as Science 6.
Let’s get to know Mr. Fry!
What's your most favorite teaching memory?
My favorite teaching memory was helping a young man write his autobiography. He refused to do the project until I offered to scribe for him. The whole project was in his words and he really opened up. After that project, he and I had a great student-teacher relationship.
What hobbies do you have outside of school?
Bowling, disc golf, gaming, reading and spending time with my family.
What other extracurricular activities are you involved with at school? Any community organizations?
I coach eighth grade volleyball and hope to help with middle school track in the spring.
What's something you want students to know about you that they might surprise them?
I was an assistant coach on a state football championship team.
