During the month of September, the 2nd grade students studied apples. They learned about the life cycle of an apple tree and how seeds travel around the world. They were able to observe and taste different types of apples.
To conclude this unit of study, the 2nd graders braved the rain to visit the Kickapoo Apple Orchard. Students were able to learn about the orchard's long history of growing apples and sample apple cider and apple cider donuts. It was so much fun!
