October  11-15 proved to be a busy week for the 6th and 7th graders at Fennimore Middle School. Both grades attended the traditional  three day, two night, Outdoor Education experience at Wyalusing. While at camp the students built shelters, did camp chores, and attended various seminars taught by staff from the Department of Natural Resources and Bethel Horizons.

When students weren't at camp, they attended face-to-face sessions led by Kathy Swenson and physical education teacher, Ryanne Carl.  With Mrs. Swenson, kids learned about Middle East culture and learned about what it's like to live overseas. Mrs. Swenson even baked for them! With Mrs. Carl, students learned about Shaken Baby syndrome, CPR & First Aid, Epi-pen usage, and how to use the Heimlich Manuever and Life-Vac.

The middle school staff appreciates the efforts of everyone who helped out to provide our students with unique experiences!  Stay tuned for recaps on the Washington DC trip and the middle school volleyball seasons!
