3rd graders at Folklore Village with dances

Last Friday, 3rd grade classes got the chance to visit Folklore Village in Dodgeville. This field trip is designed to help children learn about folklife and to inspire an appreciation for traditions and heritage. While there, students got a chance to learn about sheep shearing and they even made their own wool balls.

They also learned four different dances, played old-time games in the 1890's schoolhouse, and got a chance to listen to music on several unique instruments. What a great day of learning!
