Students on STEM Shuttle

4th and 5th grade students got the opportunity to enjoy some awesome STEM activities last week. First, astronaut Mark Lee who grew up in Viroqua, WI came and spoke to the classes. Mr. Lee often teams with the STEM Shuttle when they visit a school near his hometown. He told the students how he dreamed of being an astronaut since 2nd grade. He told them all about the 4 space missions he went on, and about how he walked in space 4 times.  Later in the week the STEM Shuttle rolled into town and the 4th and 5th grade students visited STEM stations in the shuttle in small groups. Magnetism, constellations, solar power, robotics and engineering  were some of the topics covered in their activities.
