Pumpkin Week in 3rd Grade

The third-grade classes took part in pumpkin activities throughout the week of October 18-22. They used their knowledge of globes to construct a pumpkin globe by tracing, painting, and labeling the continents and oceans. Students also used their pumpkins to practice some important math skills.  They estimated, measured, and weighed their pumpkins.

For reading fluency practice,  students read different scripts. One of their favorites was called, “Spookley the Square Pumpkin”. They also learned about the pumpkin life cycle,  wrote about their pumpkins, and completed pumpkin themed digital breakouts on their chromebooks.
