Fennimore Community Schools

This week's class of the week is Mrs. Streeter's First Grade Class. It's a very busy time in Mrs. Streeter's 1st Grade classroom! These 1st graders just did a fabulous job performing in their first ever winter program! They also wrote down their Christmas wishes and sent them off to Santa. To say they are excited is an understatement! In Math, they've been using different strategies to help them solve addition and subtraction equations, which they're getting quite good at.  Also, in Reading, they are working really hard on mastering the basic skills to help them become fluent readers. They feel so proud when they can sound out words on their own!  Helping others has been an important topic in the classroom. They have learned many ways that they can help out at school, at home, and in their community. Last week they practiced helping others by participating in a food drive and donating items to a local food pantry. Mrs. Streeter's 1st graders love to work together as a team and help to make learning fun for all their peers! They are a super group of kids with big hearts! Keep up the great work 1st graders!
