Class of the Week - Mrs. Greenlee's Class

This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Greenlee's 4th Grade Class. Mrs. Greenlee’s students have been working very hard and learning a lot in the new year. They wrote sequence stories about “How to Build a Snowman” and added adjectives to make their writing more interesting. Literature Circles are helping them dig deeper into understanding the books they are reading. They have also been working on identifying the author’s purpose and other important reading skills.

In math they are using all operations to learn about fractions. They are really good at multiplying and dividing to make equivalent fractions and are learning how to add and subtract fractions. Through some fun activities they learned that sound travels through waves. They also learned how they hear and identify sounds when sound waves enter their ears and move through pathways to their brain.

Studying Wisconsin they discovered that the Native Americans helped the fur traders and explorers learn about Wisconsin and how to travel the state using rivers. During Black History Month they will be researching black leaders and making a presentation to their class. They are trying their best to be respectful and responsible, and to be the best Eagles they can be as they move forward in their learning. Keep up the great work 4th Graders!
