Fennimore Community Schools congratulates Mrs. Alexa Chiefari on being selected as a 2022 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Teacher Fellow! The Kohl Teacher Fellowship program recognizes and supports teaching excellence and innovation in the state of Wisconsin. The 100 Herb Kohl Fellowship recipients and the 100 schools of those teachers will each receive a grant for their school district.
FCS is very proud of Mrs. Alexa Chiefari. Driven by the passion to open every door of opportunity for her students is Alexa’s strength. Her classroom challenges students academically while providing a safe environment for all students to learn. Mrs. Chiefari is an outstanding educator and student advocate. Her dedication and passion for education has built deep and lasting relationships with her students and the families in our community. She is an excellent representative of the Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship award
Mrs. Chiefari says, "I absolutely love everything about being an English teacher. I especially love and appreciate every one of my students. They are incredibly special to me. They keep me going, keep me laughing, and make each day enjoyable. My students are such amazing young people and I learn from them every day. Teaching is a continuous adventure and I am incredibly thankful for all of my experiences in education and for the young people in my classes past, present, and future. I am so grateful that my love of language arts and my enthusiasm for mentoring young adults has led me to this rewarding career."
