all 3rd grade students pose for a picture out in front of Folklore Village building

3rd Graders visited Folklore Village by Dodgeville last Friday. During their trip they learned about how folklore is passed from generation to generation. They also learned about where wool comes from, its many uses, and what is made from it. All students got to make a ball from wool by forming it into felt. The visit to the one-room school house was interesting and the students enjoyed playing some of the games that the children who attended school back then would have played. To end the afternoon, students were taught how to dance the waltz and a couple other dances that were popular many years ago. It was a great day of learning and playing.
