Recently, Mrs. Kamps’ class had a special visitor. Zelda, the Grant County Sheriff's Department therapy dog, and her handler, Cassara Bray, came to their classroom. Zelda is a 4 month old mini goldendoodle. Students learned that Zelda lives and works with Cassara at the Grant County Jail. Zelda and Cassara will be completing training over the next few months to help Zelda do her job. Zelda’s job will be to help people feel better. She may go to crisis situations, help the officers at the jail after a tough day, or help inmates if they are having a hard time in jail. Zelda and Cassara will also travel to schools, nursing homes, and community events. Zelda sure made Mrs. Kamps’ class happy! State Cross Country Spectator Bus! In order to have a spectator bus, at least 30 individuals (students and/or parents) must sign up to ride the spectator bus for $5, plus purchase their own ticket to enter the state meet at https://gofan.co/app/school/WIAAWI for $9 (plus fees). All tickets to enter the meet must be purchased online. Once arriving in WI Rapids, a shuttle will take spectators to the golf course. On that shuttle, riders will be required to wear a mask, per WI Rapids School's requirements. The deadline for the 30 riders is NOON on Wednesday, Oct 26th.
