The WFCA, in a continuing effort to recognize the great players within the state of Wisconsin, is very pleased to provide a 2025 Academic All-State Award to the outstanding individuals that attain a high level of success in the classroom.

Individual Academic All-State Qualifications:

Age Qualification: Senior (12th Grade)
Academic Qualification: 3.75 (cumulative) GPA or higher
Athletic Qualification: Varsity Letterwinner​

Over the last couple weeks, the Spanish 2 students participated in a special project. They learned about the Monarch butterfly’s life cycle and incredible migration from the U.S. and Canada to Mexico, where they hibernate for winter. They took part in the Symbolic Migration Project, sending life-sized paper butterflies to children in Mexico to promote Monarch conservation. Students also explored the butterfly’s connection to Día de los Muertos and will soon read a short novel in Spanish about this tradition.
