The Fennimore Elementary School Winter Concert will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, December 17th in the Fennimore High School North gym. Third through fifth grade will start at 9:00 AM. This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Schoenberg's 3rd Grade Class. Mrs. Schoenberg’s class has been working very hard in both reading and math. In reading, they have been exploring the ancient Roman Civilization and discussing its lasting impact on the modern world. In math, the third graders have been focusing on solving two-step story problems and reinforcing their understanding of adding, subtracting, multiplication and division. The class is filled with vibrant personalities, and it has been a pleasure for Mrs. Schoenberg to get to know each of them. She looks forward to continuing to support their learning and growth throughout the year. Keep up the good work 3rd graders!

A few of our fourth grade students participated in a Math 24 game sponsored by CESA 3 this morning! Math 24 is a fast paced mental math card game in which students need to think about the relationships between numbers. They are given 4 numbers and they have to use each number once and add/multiply/divide/subtract to make 24. This year's third place team consist of Aubrey Reuter, Annabelle Winkers, and Tatum Wood.
All fourth and fifth grade students get a chance to learn how to play Math 24 in their classrooms. What a great way for students to practice their math facts! #fes #EaglesSoar

This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Gunderson's Monday/Wednesday 4K Class. They were very busy at the end of November getting ready for Thanksgiving! They learned about the letter Bb and the color brown. They decorated the hallways with colorful turkeys and beautifully decorated feathers. Bears were a big part of their brown unit and they played lots of games with bears and turkeys. They also made bear puppets and acted out Goldilocks and the Three Bears. These 4K students have been super busy and are looking forward to all the fun and excitement December brings! Great work 4K friends! #EaglesSoar #fes
FES First Graders recently got into the holiday spirit by decorating a community Christmas tree! Each student painted a wooden ornament and made a decorative candy cane out of beads. Coming the week of December 16th, Angelina Lathrop's Art will be on display in the HS foyer. Angelina is a senior at FHS taking two independent art classes and has been developing her style and her approach to mediums. She taking a few classes, Photoshop and Illustrator, at the Southwest Tech, too.

Starting today the Fennimore Community Schools will be streaming all home games from the Hudl TV platform instead of Youtube. The user experience will be very similar to Youtube, but there is one great new feature. From our Fennimore Hudl page, any away school that also uses Hudl cameras, users will have access to the away game footage just the same as if it were a home game!
Games can be accessed on mobile devices by downloading the Hudl Fan app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. The app will be available on some TVs as well. Once you have the app, just search for "Fennimore High School" and add it as a favorite. Creating an account is not required, but it will remember your list of favorite schools.

FHS Spanish students recently participated in the annual Locotubre hispanic music competition. This year’s theme was “Battle of the Genres” which included Banda Regional, Merengue, Salsa, and Flamenco. More than 770 schools participated from 49 different states and 13 countries. The winning song was “No Se Va” by Grupo Frontera. Felicidades to the ganadores! Stay tuned for more music madness in March when we do Locura de Marzo!
