The STEM Shuttle stopped at FES yesterday, giving our 4th graders an exciting chance to explore STEM hands-on! They learned about the dangers of a damaged ozone layer, used robotic arms, studied star maps, experimented with magnetism, and even engineered their own arches. This week's Class of the Week is Ms. Hunt's 4th Grade Class. Her students have been working hard on all subjects! In math, they have been polishing their adding & subtracting skills to tackle bigger numbers. In ELA, they have been reading about the Middle Ages while exploring prefixes, suffixes, & root words to build their vocabulary. Earlier this week Ms. Lindquist's 2nd Grade Students explored how animals help spread seeds! They discovered that different seed shapes make it easier—or harder—for them to hitch a ride. These scientists in training created their own “Fluffadoos” and tested to see how long different seeds stayed on their "animals.” The results? Spiky and larger seeds traveled farther than the smooth ones! #fes #EaglesSoar
