Check out this relic from the 1947-48 yearbook! Can you identify anyone from this photo of the student council ?
Here is some of what was written in the yearbook below this photo:
During the Homecoming celebration, the council sponsored the snake dance and the big bonfire in Marsden Park. The homecoming queen was crowned and several prominent citizens gave speeches and pep talks. According to reports, this was the best pep rally ever staged!
In February that year, Mr. Woll asked the council to present programs commemorating Washington's and Lincoln's birthdays. On February 22, the council had a Washington quiz. They chose two brilliant members from each class to take part in this contest. Prizes were given to those who answered the most questions correctly.
This year was also the year they decided to choose a nickname for the athletic teams. They had never before been called by any name but the "Maroon and Gold." After many suggestions were made by the student body, the council selected the best and Coach Richgels and the football boys voted and chose "The Midgets."
Anyone know what year we switched to "The Golden Eagles?"

During our gathering, seniors Rhiannon Nelson-Hahn and Griffin Fry shared what empathy means to them, offering meaningful reflections on understanding others and showing compassion in everyday moments. Their words reminded us that empathy is a skill that grows with experience and reflection.
We were also grateful to hear from Elementary School Guidance Counselor Mrs. Ambort, who shared how students first began learning about empathy as early as 4K and how that important character trait continues to develop and take shape as students grow older. Her message connected with where our learners start and who they are becoming today.
Thank-you to Mrs. Richard for emceeing the event and helping make this important conversation possible. Moments like these remind us how powerful shared values can be in shaping a supportive and caring school community. 💙

Mr. Carl’s class kicked off their waves unit by rotating through hands-on lab stations, diving into what they’ll be exploring over the next few days. From unexpected patterns to surprising results, students made some pretty interesting discoveries along the way—curiosity was definitely in motion!

Intro to Ag students wrapped up a one-of-a-kind Squirrel Taxidermy project last week. Through this hands-on experience, students explored the basics of taxidermy and animal anatomy while developing precision, problem-solving, and attention to detail. The finished mounts showcase both learning and creativity in action.
Another great example of authentic, skill-based learning happening in our Ag classrooms. #AgricultureEducation #CTEMonth #EaglePride
