Our local businesses are huge supporters of our students and schools and for that we are very thankful. Whether it be opening their doors for our students to come for a field trip, visiting our schools to share information with students, supporting our different programs, or simply just showing their Eagle Pride we just can't thank them enough! The Fennimore Community is a great place to be! #thankfulthursday #EaglesSoar

Today our #flashbackfriday takes us to the end of the 21-22 school year, where the Spanish 3 students made some amazing piñatas! While piñatas originated in China, they are commonly associated with Mexico. They are used during celebrations of Christmas and birthdays most often.
More photos of these piñatas being created as well as photos from their field trip to the Lemon Door to watch a gazpacho demonstration can be found here: https://fcs.smugmug.com/2021-22-School-Year/Fennimore-High-School-2021-22/Academics-High-School-2021-22/Spanish-2021-22/Spanish-3

These last couple of school years were very challenging for students, school staff, and parents. We are thankful for the strong technology framework in our schools that made the transition in and out of virtual learning that much easier. We are also thankful for our students, school staff and parents who showed great patience and put forth tremendous effort as we navigated this uncharted territory. #thankfulthurdsay #EaglesSoar

This Flashback Friday takes us back to last October when our 6th grade visited Wyalusing for their overnight outdoor education program. This Fennimore Schools' tradition goes way back with many of our current staff having fond memories of their Wyalusing trip. This trip provides students with a chance to get some exercise while learning about the outdoors. Students also learn some valuable lessons in responsibility, independence, and teamwork.
Pictured here are some of students in the shelter they built during a team building activity. For more pictures from this trip visit https://fcs.smugmug.com/2021-22-School-Year/Fennimore-Middle-School-2021-22/Wyalusing-Trips-2021/6th-Grade-Wyalusing-Trip-Oct-11-13-2021

Our first flashback of the 21-22 school year takes us back to last August when the Fennimore Eagles football team held on to the milk can with their win over the Iowa-Grant Panthers. The milk can tradition, which started over 50 years ago, adds some fun to the Fennimore and Iowa-Grant rivalry. #flashbackfriday #EaglesSoar
