Fennimore Community Schools

Selected students from 4th and 5th grade participated in Lit Wars at Southwest Tech. Students were assigned to be "experts" in selected books and were quizzed against other students from CESA 3 schools. The grade level teams then competed against the other schools on the list of 6 books. Maya Knapp tied for 3rd for "The Princess and the Goblet" and Liam Collins tied for 3rd for his book, "Echo." Fifth grade also tied for first place in the overall competition! Participants for 4th grade were Maya Knapp, Ariana Reinsbach, and Ella Cutting. Trivia Night is coming up this Friday, March 11th. Students and parent volunteers can check in between 5:00 and 5:30. Trivia will begin promptly at 5:30. FES 4K Roundup and Registration will be held on April 7th & 8th at the United Methodist Church. FES staff will be registering and screening children in the district who will be four by 9/1/22. This is an opportunity to gain valuable information about Fennimore's 4K program, your child's hearing, vision, immunizations, and register your child for school. Parents don't forget to call 608 822 3285, ext. 2100 by Friday, March 18th to make your appointment.

Yesterday some of our 5th-8th grade girls got the chance to attend a one day STEM event at University of Wisconsin Platteville. On Monday, February 28th, our students had the opportunity to perform in the Dorian Band Festival. Their clinicians were Dr. Shawn Vondran & world renown composer, Dr. Shelley Hanson. Our students represented Fennimore well! Great job Noah, Kade, Angel, Megan, and Mrs. Durst!

The Fennimore FFA and Alumni invite you with your family and friends to Dairyland Donkey Basketball on Monday, March 7 starting at 7pm at Fennimore High School. The Fennimore FFA take on Boscobel FFA in first game, Fennimore Staff vs Fennimore Community in second game and then championship game. Advanced tickets are $7 and $10 at the door. Come early and enjoy the spaghetti supper for the Fennimore Legion fundraiser at 5pm for $5 a plate in the high school cafeteria. Don't miss it! Trivia Night is coming soon! For those who registered, remember that the event will be held on Friday, March 11th with sign in starting at 5:00 and the game begins at 5:30. Reminder students can check out books until next week, Wednesday, March 9th. Books will still be available at the public library until the day of trivia, Friday, March 11th. For parents who volunteered to donate juice boxes, those can be dropped off in the elementary office or Ms. Govier's classroom anytime!
