This year 4th graders did family history projects on how their families got to Wisconsin. Each student presented their family history in their own unique way and included some some neat facts. Many students shared that their families came from Germany, England, and Ireland in the 1800’s and even before that. Some of the students have had land in their families from decades to centuries. One of the students was even related to Governor Julius Heil who created the slogan “America's Dairyland.” Some students had letters added or dropped from their last names such as a K being added and a C being dropped. It was also interesting to see that most all the families celebrated similar holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. The students enjoyed creating their family history presentation as well as listening to their classmates stories about their families. #fes #EaglesSoar
