February 22nd is National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Please join us in thanking all of the dedicated bus drivers who serve the students and families in Fennimore Community Schools. We appreciate you!

Fennimore Community Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 due to weather. Stay safe!
Students in Mrs. Langmeier's Class read biographies this quarter. After reading and learning about their famous person they wrote a report pretending they were that person. They also made paper bag puppets of their famous person. Students enjoyed listening to each other's reports and figuring out who the famous person was!

Mrs. Kamps' class held a Superbowl party the week before the big game. The students voted on who they thought would win, played NFL trivia and bingo, and did a STEM activity in which the students had to make a football field. The students needed to design a field with a goal post, a football, and a stadium only using a specific set of materials that included straws, popsicle sticks, and only 12" of tape! Great job 4th graders!

Brad The Book Guy of CESA 3 was live from the high school English classes first hour on Friday! He discussed books recommendations, the power of reading, and how to become a consistent reader! He hosted right from his old classroom and we were happy to have him back!

This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Gerlich's Third Grade Class. These students are excited to have Ms. Cummins as their student teacher this semester. They have been very busy reading their Who Was/Who Is books about a famous person and have recently started to write their essays in preparation for making their bottle buddy representations of their famous person. In math, they have been learning about fractions and what they represent. For technology, they have been working with Mrs. Droessler on learning the basics of touch typing and are excited at how much better they are getting! They are looking forward to their next field trip to Osborne Conservation Center in May. Keep up the great work 3rd Graders! #fes #EaglesSoar

Don't forget about Early Release tomorrow! #fcs #EaglesSoar

Those who attended the workshop are Koy Kartman, Ella Cutting, 5th Grade Teacher, Dianne Langmeier, Kaleb Hodell, Mason Quincy, Addy Sheckler, and Haidyn Jackson.

This year's participants in the Tri-State Honors Band held at UW-Platteville were Meghan Trader on alto saxophone and Miriam Goldwasser on clarinet. This was a two day event with international guest conductor and composer, Dr. Rubén Darío Gómez. The festival ended with a concert on Saturday with students representing around 30 schools from the tri-state area. Keep making music! #EaglesSoar

Last month during Kindness Week, Mrs. Gerlich's students took some time to read to first grade students from Mrs. Kartman's Class. It was a great way for 3rd graders to practice their oral reading and the first grade students always love working with the older students! #fes #EaglesSoar

Today we would like to thank all the speech and language, occupational, and physical therapists that work with Fennimore Community School students. We appreciate all you do! #FCS #EaglesSoar
