2nd graders in Ms. Schwingle's classroom have been having a lot of fun with estimating and measuring. The students have been using the inch and centimeter ruler as well as the yardstick and meter stick. First, they would look at an object and estimate the length in inches, feet, or yards, centimeters or meters. Then they would measure for exact measurements. At last night's school board meeting, the board recognized the State Gold Medal Forensics students and the State Team Wrestlers for their great achievements this year! The students came and listened to their coaches share highlights from their seasons. The Fennimore Community School District is proud of all their hard work and achievements!

Ms. Kauffman’s class had fun hunting for proper noun Easter eggs! Each egg that was hidden contained a sentence with a word that needed capitalized. From names, stores, titles, and addresses, the students were able to identify which word needed that capital letter. Not only did they enjoy hunting for eggs, but also did a great job with the capitalization lesson.

Summer School 2022 packets are available! Registration forms went home with 4K students today and all other students will be bringing the forms home tomorrow. Forms are also posted on the district website at https://www.fennimore.k12.wi.us/page/summer-school Students entering grades 4K-1st: You do not need to attend a registration night. Please return forms to school or Ms. Govier anytime. Students entering grades 2-8: You will need to attend one of our registration nights to sign your child(ren) up. They will be held Tuesday, May 3rd 3:30-5:00 and Thursday, May 5th 5:00-6:00. Signing up for just sports or swim? Those forms can be returned anytime. The students worked together with their families to create their landform out of household products and then recorded a video explaining their dioramas. The teachers appreciated the awesome collaboration from home on these projects. There were many creative ideas and the dioramas turned out wonderful! #fes #EaglesSoar
