All students participating in trivia night received their team slips and book lists earlier this week. They can check out a book each day from the library at school from 7:30-8:00 and all books from the book list are available at the Dwight Parker Public Library in Fennimore also. Happy Reading!

FBLA competed at the Regional Leadership Conference on Sat., Feb. 5th and placed 4th overall! They had 4 first place finishes and a total of 15 members qualified to compete at State! Check out all the results! Congrats to the FHS FBLA organization. #FBLA #FBLAPride

This week is National School Counseling Week. School counselors have a huge role in helping students achieve school success, set goals, and plan for a career. A huge shoutout to our two counselors that help our schools soar! Mrs. Ambort and Mr. Roth thanks for all you do! #fcs #EaglesSoar

Students in 7th grade science are constructing earthquake-proof structures and analyzing the best designs to make buildings sturdy. The tallest structure that withstands a 10 second earthquake on a shake table is the winner.

Student council used inside recess last week to count the acts of kindness. In the short 3 day Kindness week, 859 acts of kindness were completed at FES! That is awesome!! Special thanks to Mrs. Ambort and all the student council members for organizing the Kindness Week activities and to everyone who participated.
Also, we have more exciting news! Due to our school’s participation in The Great Kindness Challenge, we have been awarded the honor of being a Kindness Certified School. Great job everyone!! #fes #EaglesSoar

February is American Heart Month and tomorrow, February 4th is National Go Red for Women Day. Please join us in wearing red tomorrow to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and help save lives.

Fennimore FFA held their local LDE speaking contest for Employment Skills at the end of January. Congratulations to Wesley Winch and Makenna Graney for qualifying to compete at the district speaking contest later on in February! Also a huge thank you to Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Goss, and Mrs. Carl for judging our competitors.


This month there will be two opportunities for our students to showcase their musical talent in different honors bands! First on February 11th, there is the Tri-State Honors Band to be held at UW-Platteville. Then on Feb 27th& 28th will be the Dorian Honors Band at Luther College in Iowa!
