On May 10th the weather cooperated for the 79th Annual Wisconsin Safety Patrol Congress in Wisconsin Dells. Each year the Congress recognizes and rewards students who faithfully serve as school safety patrols during the course of the school year. These students are positive role models and recognized as leaders by their peers. The Wisconsin Safety Patrol Congress is a special event that shows appreciation for their hard work and dedicated service..
FES Safety Patrol Members started the day on a boat tour of the Upper Dells. Then they went mini golfing, played laser tag, and went on a Wizard's Quest. Finally, they walked downtown and checked out some of the shops. It was a great day of fun for these leaders! #fes #EaglesSoar

Recently 5th graders enjoyed a wonderful field trip to Platteville. They started their day off at the Platteville Mining and Rollo Jamison Museums where they learned about what life was like in Southwest Wisconsin for the past 200 years. From there, they ate lunch and enjoyed recess at the Platteville Inclusive Playground in Smith Park. The zip line was a big hit! Finally, they visited the "Big M" and hiked up the 266 steps to the top! It was a beautiful day full of great things for both the mind and the body! #EaglesSoar #fes

Mrs. Reinke and her class teamed up with Mrs. Williams-Richter to make a special Mother's Day gift. Students created a 'plant head' for their Mom's using recycled milk jugs and their decorating skills to assemble this unique gift. #fes #EaglesSoar

Earlier this week, the First Grade Classes visited Faherty Recycling in Platteville. They started the tour by being weighed just like the materials that are brought in are weighed. Can you believe that the entire group weighed almost 6000 pounds? They got to see the facility and learned about cool products that are made from recycled materials like carpet, deck material, and jeans. After the tour they visited Smith Park to have lunch and play. It's an amazing park and the kids had so much fun! #fes #EaglesSoar

5th Grade students recently studied all about the geography of the United States. Each student researched a state, published a report, and designed a unique display for the state he/she learned about. Students enjoyed sharing their projects with FES students and their parents, and grandparents this week. #EaglesSoar #fes

Mayor Boebel visited the first grade classrooms recently. He told them what it's like to be the mayor of Fennimore and about all the people who help him make Fennimore such a great place to live. The students had many questions for him! Thank you, Mayor Boebel, for all you do! #fes #EaglesSoar

We’re celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week in the Fennimore Community Schools!
We wish to express our gratitude for the incredible people who have dedicated their lives to preparing the next generation for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
In these final weeks of the school year, we invite families, students, and communities to take some time to reflect on everything our teachers have done and continue to do to support our students.
Join us in thanking our teachers for all they do!

FES is conducting a Penny War next week May 6th-May 10th. All funds raised will go toward assisting Mrs. Ambort, our Guidance Counselor, and her family, while her son Quentin is undergoing treatment for Leukemia. #EaglesSoar #fes

Fourth grade paired up with the FFA students to learn how food goes from farm to table. They started by visiting Lazy M Farms to see how dairy farms work. Then they visited Sugar and Spice where all students got the chance to plant a tomato plant. On their next stops they visited Jentz's farm to learn all about beef cattle and Bender's Foods to learn how they process everything. They capped off their perfect day of learning by enjoying delicious ice cream at Udder Brothers. A special thanks to all of our local hosts for providing us the opportunity to learn more about the agriculture industry in our area. #fes #EaglesSoar

The fifth grade classes visited Peoples State Bank to learn about how money is counted using a change machine, how to deposit money, and all of the other duties that a bank might perform. A huge thanks to Peoples State Bank for this wonderful learning opportunity. #fes #EaglesSoar
