Earlier this week, a few of our 3rd-grade classes paid a visit to the first-grade classrooms to spread holiday cheer through a performance of Polar Express Reader's Theatre. Well done, 3rd graders! #fes #EaglesSoar

Students in Mrs. Langmeier's Fifth Grade Class enjoyed performing a play for their parents, grandparents, and also for other FES students this week. The play was called "Christmas at the OK Corral" and the good guys certainly saved the day when they rescued Santa from the bad guys just in time for Christmas. #fes #EaglesSoar

The third graders were given the challenge of building the tallest gumdrop tower. They were split into groups and were given 25 gumdrops and 40 toothpicks. They could create any design they liked and had 20 minutes to build their towers. The tallest tower was 41 centimeters tall! We saw some great engineering and teamwork. Way to go third grade! #fes #EaglesSoar

Fennimore Community Schools winter break starts on December 23 and runs through January 1st, 2024. School will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024! Have a safe and enjoyable break! #fcs #EaglesSoar

Today's assembly was extra special as there were so many things to celebrate and the first ever teacher and student challenge was held. In this challenge, one student from each grade level was chosen from all those that submitted Eagle Wings. Then that student and their homeroom teacher teamed up to compete in the challenge. Today's challenge was to see how many pom-poms they could toss and get to stick to a plate full of whip cream that was on TOP of their teacher's head. The first grade team of Klayton and Mrs. Bunn won the challenge by sticking 25 pom poms to the plate! Congrats to the first grade duo and great job by all the participants! #fes #EaglesSoar

Once again the Spanish 3 students came to the 1st grade classes at FES to teach them about different traditions in Mexico for the holiday season. The students created their own poinsettia hats, ate M&Ms to the ringing of a bell, sang Feliz Navidad, and learned about Three Kings Day! Thank you, Spanish 3 students for coming down to FES once again!

Earlier this week, some of our fifth grade students attended a team building and leadership training at CESA. It was a great opportunity for these students to learn many valuable skills while engaging in a variety of hands on activities. Students learned strategies to help gain confidence in problem solving and also learned about the value of trusting others and themselves. #fes #EaglesSoar

This week's Class of the Week is Ms. Nalepinski's Tues/Thur 4K Class. The holidays are quickly approaching and with it comes great excitement. The 4K students have been busy little elves creating some special surprises for Mom and Dad! Keeping these a secret has certainly been a challenge for the children. They have been learning about the letter Cc and have been showing off their pre-reading skills by sharing a "My Little Cc Book" and a Cc emergent reader book with their families. The color green has also been a part of their learning. They colored and read a "Green Book" and had fun learning about and making frogs. Many of the families of these 4K students have probably seen some of them hopping into their house singing the "Five Green and Speckled Frogs" tune. The students have learned so much up to this point and continue to expand their knowledge, fine motor skills, friendships, and social skills. The 4K students and staff wish everyone a great holiday season! #fes #EaglesSoar

Spread the word! The FES Student Council's countdown to Christmas dress up days will start on Monday, December 18th. Hope you all will join in on the fun! #fes #EaglesSoar

Fennimore MS/HS students Miriam Goldwasser and Collin Birkelo, along with Mrs. Durst, participated in Clarinet Day at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. They attended a master class with Dr. Sarah Manasreh and took part in the clarinet choir run by the renowned Barcelona Clarinet Players from Spain. They had the opportunity to perform as an opener for the UW-Stevens Point Wind Ensemble.
What a great musical and multicultural experience! You can read more about it at the UW-Stevens Point FB page: https://www.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=936769651322184&id=100049674735535&mibextid=qi2Omg

The 2023 Fennimore Schools' Winter Concerts have been posted to our YouTube channel! You can view them all at this link: https://www.youtube.com/@FennimoreSchools/videos
There was technical difficulties during the 6th grade band video, so there is audio only for that part. Our apologies!

It's Winter Concert time! All three programs will be recorded and uploaded to our YouTube channel afterwards & will NOT be live-streamed. Tonight are the middle and high school programs and tomorrow morning will be the elem program!
Note - 5th grade starts the program, not 3rd!

Some of our 4th and 5th grade students took some time out of their busy day to create holiday cards for the residents of Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing. What an awesome way to spread some holiday cheer! #fes #EaglesSoar

This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Kamps' Class. The third graders in Mrs. Kamps’ class have been working extremely hard this year. In math, they have been learning all about multiplying and dividing. They recently learned how to multiply by 10’s. They have been learning about immigration, historical fictions, similes, finding the theme of a story, and writing their Santa letters. They have also been busy with a Flat Stanley project in social studies and are anxiously waiting for their Stanley’s to return so they can learn all about his adventures and the different places around the world he traveled. They are also keeping track of where Stanley was on their classroom map. They are excited about the holiday season and are looking forward to the projects and activities the third grade teachers have planned. Keep up the great work 3rd graders! #fes #EaglesSoar
