This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Melcher's 2nd Grade Class. Mrs. Melcher's students have been working hard with their student teacher, Ms. Zinkle, to learn many 2nd grade skills. Recently, they've learned about suffixes & prefixes, plural nouns, multiple meaning words, main topic & key details, and much more. In math, they've finished two-digit addition and have started learning two-digit subtraction. Last week, they got to use their knowledge to unlock a box that was left by Tad the Turkey. They also got the chance to learn about the Mayflower and its journey to the New World, by creating their own Mayflowers. Then they tested them to see if they could hold 102 passengers using marbles. What fun! Keep up the great work 2nd graders! #fes #EaglesSoar

FES students and staff raised awareness for Epilepsy yesterday by wearing purple. Great job students and staff! #EaglesSoar #fes

Community information meeting reminder! Please come tomorrow night to get any questions answered regarding the survey that was delivered to your home!

Don't forget to wear your purple tomorrow for Epilepsy awareness. #epilepsyawareness #fes #EagleSoar

This past week the 2nd graders were busy learning about the Pilgrims and the First Thanksgiving. For one activity they had to build a Mayflower ship using just a few simple items. The ship had to stay floating while holding 102 people (marbles). A few students were able to build an unsinkable boat. They all agreed that they were thankful that they didn't have to cross the Atlantic Ocean on the Mayflower! #EaglesSoar #fes

Earlier this week the third grade classes learned about the history of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Then they made their own balloons and created their own Broadway Street. The students worked hard and really got creative with their balloons and it was super fun to see the end products! Great job 3rd Graders!

This week's Class of the Week is Ms. Kauffman's Kindergarten Class. These 5 and 6 year olds are some hard workers. They have learned all of their letter sounds and a total of ten sight words! They are using their letter sounds to make CVC words. In math, they have worked on numbers to 10, while identifying groups that are greater or less. Recently during unit time they learned all about Thanksgiving. They even made a turkey craft! These kindergarteners sure love their holidays and can’t wait to get into the Christmas spirit at school. Keep up the great work 5K friends! #EaglesSoar #fes

Fourth grade students just finished learning about Wisconsin's first Native American groups. They took the information that they learned and made dioramas representing what their houses and the surrounding area looked like. It is always interesting to learn how the houses changed according to the group, the weather, and how they lived. Great job 4th Graders! #fes #EaglesSoar

Reminder No school tomorrow or Friday. Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your time with family and friends! #EaglesSoar

This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Neisius' 5th Grade Class. Mrs. Neisius' Class has been busy working on many different things. The class is reading the book Number the Stars, and also wrote about their field trip to Bethel Horizons. They have been doing many lab experiments in science working with beans and rice, along with studying the many phases of the moon. The students are enjoying their new duties at the fifth grade level including putting on the school's morning TV program, Safety Patrol, and Student Council. The students are also looking forward to their first reward party of the school year in which they earn the right to go if they have their work completed and turned in on time.
