2nd graders have gone to different “lengths “ in math class! Ms. Schwingle’s class first estimated in inches, yards, centimeters, and meters. Then they looked for things in the classroom that were about the length each of those units. Next, they used their measuring tools to find exact measurements. #EaglesSoar #fes

March is also Music in Our Schools Month! Tomorrow come listen to jazz bands and show choirs from area schools, including Fennimore, compete for a chance to go to state solo/ensemble in our very own high school gym! And on April 18th, Fennimore Elementary hosts their Fine Arts Night! Music and artwork will fill the gym and halls!

Mrs. Kamps' class has been busy learning all about electricity and magnetism. They learned that static electricity happens when positive and negative charges no longer balance. They used balloons to demonstrate this by trying to get the balloons to stick to things in the classroom. They also watched to see which students' balloon would stick the longest. #EaglesSoar #fes
Yesterday some of our 5th and 7th grade girls got the chance to attend a “Women in STEM Day” event. Students were able to learn and explore all the opportunities within science, technology, engineering and math. Some of the activities included coding, examining different types of soil, creating neurons, and several different industrial and civil engineering activities. #EaglesSoar
