Our teachers are always learning! Mrs. Danielle Carson has been spending time in Madison at Madison Area Technical College for a workshop all about solar energy! She and the other attendees were put in groups and installed actual solar panels at the training lab that they have outside!! This is the lab that Madison College students going through the program use to learn how to do installations.
Other aspects of this workshop included going through and experiencing some of the solar curriculum materials made by the corresponding organization (Create Energy https://createenergy.org/), and figuring out how to utilize it in the classroom.
Mrs. Carlson plans to incorporate these materials with her Applied STEM, Environmental Science, and AP Environmental Science classes. She was also interviewed by the Wisconsin State Journal: https://madison.com/news/local/environment/advancing-clean-energy-matc-partnership-aims-to-prepare-workforce/article_ac277162-0bf0-558c-8758-72f5ba5fccf1.html
How amazing, Mrs. Carlson! We can't wait to see all you will be teaching our students! #EaglesSoar

Today's #flashbackdfriday takes us back to early January when PE classes in grades K-5 got the chance to roller skate. This coordinated effort between our PE Staff and Rainbo Palace has been going on for the last few years. Skating is a super way for students to sneak in exercise while doing a fun activity.

Our buildings and grounds crew have been hard at work in both buildings getting everything cleaned for next school year. Every summer they clean rooms and wax floors, battling the heat and humidity. Today we take a moment to say thank you! The elementary building and grounds have managed to get all of the upstairs ready for summer school classes that will start on Monday. Thank you to all of our hard workers! #thankfulthursday #Eaglessoar

Fennimore Middle/High School office will be closed next week, July 4th - 8th. The office will reopen on Monday, July 11th.

Our local businesses are huge supporters of our students and schools and for that we are very thankful. Whether it be opening their doors for our students to come for a field trip, visiting our schools to share information with students, supporting our different programs, or simply just showing their Eagle Pride we just can't thank them enough! The Fennimore Community is a great place to be! #thankfulthursday #EaglesSoar

More photos of these piñatas being created as well as photos from their field trip to the Lemon Door to watch a gazpacho demonstration can be found here: https://fcs.smugmug.com/2021-22-School-Year/Fennimore-High-School-2021-22/Academics-High-School-2021-22/Spanish-2021-22/Spanish-3

These last couple of school years were very challenging for students, school staff, and parents. We are thankful for the strong technology framework in our schools that made the transition in and out of virtual learning that much easier. We are also thankful for our students, school staff and parents who showed great patience and put forth tremendous effort as we navigated this uncharted territory. #thankfulthurdsay #EaglesSoar
