This Flashback Friday takes us back to last October when our 6th grade visited Wyalusing for their overnight outdoor education program. This Fennimore Schools' tradition goes way back with many of our current staff having fond memories of their Wyalusing trip. This trip provides students with a chance to get some exercise while learning about the outdoors. Students also learn some valuable lessons in responsibility, independence, and teamwork.
Pictured here are some of students in the shelter they built during a team building activity. For more pictures from this trip visit https://fcs.smugmug.com/2021-22-School-Year/Fennimore-Middle-School-2021-22/Wyalusing-Trips-2021/6th-Grade-Wyalusing-Trip-Oct-11-13-2021

The Fennimore Mean Machine is well known in the area for always putting on an awesome show at FCS sporting events. Whether it is music to pump up our teams, or the Polka or Chicken Dance to get the crowd involved, there is just nothing like it! We are thankful for the talented and passionate students, staff, and alumni band members who keep this wonderful Fennimore tradition going strong. #thankfulthursday #EaglesSoar

Our first flashback of the 21-22 school year takes us back to last August when the Fennimore Eagles football team held on to the milk can with their win over the Iowa-Grant Panthers. The milk can tradition, which started over 50 years ago, adds some fun to the Fennimore and Iowa-Grant rivalry. #flashbackfriday #EaglesSoar

Take your reading to new heights this year with Beanstack! Students can keep reading all summer and track it in Beanstack to earn badges and grow their reading habits! If you have multiple children in our school, they can toggle back and forth from one account to another in the app. You find helpful instructional videos on our library page. Head to fennimorecsd.beanstack.org and sign in using Google.

These 14 fifth grade students were the producers of the 21-22 season of the School Zone and they helped make this season a huge success! These producers took on a lot of responsibility. On top of the important job of writing the script each day, they also had to learn all the different SZ jobs, organize and help other students with their roles each morning, and produce the live show. Needless to say, the show wouldn't have gone on without them! Great job 5th graders!
Stay tuned next Fall for our 22-23 season of the School Zone featuring an all-new cast! #fes #EaglesSoar

UPDATED: The water will be shut off all day today (June 6) and tomorrow (June 7) at the MS/HS due to construction.

Earlier this year, we were excited to learn that Kurt Meyer, middle school science and math teacher, was named the Wisconsin Council of Trout Unlimited Distinguished Service Youth Education Award winner. Mr. Meyer, who is an avid fly fisherman, was nominated for sharing his passion for cold water resources in the Driftless area in his classroom and with youth in the community.
Congratulations!
