Four Fennimore High School students attended the University of Dubuque Honors Band Festival on Friday, January 16. Under the direction of Dr. Nolan Hauta, students spent the day rehearsing and performing an impressive program that showcased both skill and musicianship.

⚡💡 Mr. Carl’s class powered up learning! 💡⚡
Students became electricians for the day, designing and building their own circuits to light up Christmas lights. From simple circuits to more complex parallel ones, they tested, troubleshot, and problem-solved until the lights turned on. When it didn’t work? They investigated, fixed it, and tried again—just like real engineers!

Fennimore Community Schools will be operating on a 2-hour delay for Monday, January 19, 2026 due to the extreme cold.

FFA students, Teegan Griswold and Reid Stalsburg, attended the Half-Time Conference in Stevens Point January 16th and 17th. They explored agriculture beyond the classroom with a visit to Lodi Veterinary Clinic and attended an Agriculture Literacy Workshop—plus they stole the show with their matching outfits for the dance. Our FES Friday PBIS Assembly was full of laughs as students teamed up with their teachers for a silly challenge! The goal? Toss pom-poms and see how many could stick in a plate of whipped cream balanced on top of the teacher’s head! Teamwork, cheering, and lots of giggles filled the room as we celebrated positive behavior! Today, four Fennimore High School musicians are spending the day at the University of Dubuque for the 2026 High School Honor Band! These talented students were nominated and selected to join 100 top musicians from across the region for a full day of rehearsals and music-making with UD faculty Dr. Nolan Hauta and Dr. Evan Glickman.

Come out and enjoy a free public concert tonight at 7:00 p.m. in John and Alice Butler Hall, Heritage Center.

Proud of our Golden Eagles for representing Fennimore so well as they experience this fantastic opportunity on campus.

This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Gunderson's Tues/Thurs 4K Class. Mrs. Gunderson's friends are so excited to be back after their winter break. They have been having a great time learning about the ocean, the letter Oo and the color blue! They had lots of fun with the Nursery Rhymes Little Boy Blue and Jack and Jill. They painted an enormous ocean and filled it with jellyfish, starfish, octopus, and whales. They loved learning about the animals of the ocean! Keep up the great work 4K friends! #fes #EaglesSoar

The end of the semester means W!se Financial Literacy Certifications in Mrs. Goss’ Personal Finance class! The W!se Financial Literacy Certification—created by the national nonprofit Working in Support of Education—recognizes students who show strong personal finance knowledge.

Congratulations to these students for passing the exam! They are now officially Certified Financially Literate.

A solid finish to the semester and a big step toward real-world readiness.
