Did you know? The district tax rate has declined 19% in the past six years. The district has also prepaid $675,000 in interest on debts over the past 3 years and will be debt free this year. As a result the April 2 referendum will have no impact on the district tax rate.

Even though it doesn't look much like Spring out there today, don't forget next week is Spring Break at Fennimore Schools. There is no school Monday, March 25th through March 29th. School will resume on Monday, April 1st. Have a safe and enjoyable break ! #fcs #EaglesSoar

Recently, Officer French and Officer Fecht began visiting the 5th graders to work through the CounterAct Curriculum. This five week program is designed to encourage cooperation among families, schools, and police officers. It focuses on giving students the skills to make positive behavior choices and to resist the pressures to get involved with alcohol, drugs or violence. One of the activities had students put on the impairment goggles so they could see the real life risks of alcohol impairment. Throughout the program, students take assignments home to complete and discuss with their parents. This communication helps students understand parent expectations when dealing with different situations. #fes #EaglesSoar

Congrats to Rhiannon Nelson-Hahn for scoring a Perfect 1000 on the Microsoft Office Power Point Certification in Mrs. Goss' Advanced Computer Apps class! Getting a perfect score is a huge accomplishment for this industry-recognized credential. This is one of many certifications Rhiannon will earn this year. March is Art in Our School's month and thanks to Mrs. James our elementary students are always creating awesome art! Recently, 4th Grade Art Classes have been busy creating circular weaving projects. Each student chose their own colors and design to create their project. #EaglesSoar

Continuing our Music in Our Schools Month coverage..... On Tuesday, March 19 Fennimore will be hosting a Jazz/Show Choir Festival. Fennimore's Show Choir and Jazz Band will be performing along with groups from Boscobel, Lancaster, and Richland Center. All performances will be in the high school gym beginning at 4:00 PM. Fennimore Jazz Band will perform at 5:30 and Fennimore Show Choir at 7:00. This is a free event and open to the public. Spectators are encouraged!

The Anatomy & Physiology II class recently performed a urinalysis lab. The students had to run a series of tests on five different urine (fake) samples, read patient background information, and use all of it to diagnose each patient with a condition. Music in Our Schools Month continues! On Thursday, March 14 Fennimore MS/HS will be hosting the Pops Concert. Groups that will be performing include the Bell Choirs, Jazz Band, 6th Grade Choir, Mixed Ensemble, Concert Choir, Show Choir, Chamber Singers and Chordsmen.

Don’t miss it! Add Friday, April 19th to your calendar for FES Fine Arts Night 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Featured singers in the Fennimore Elementary Gym are 1st Grade at 5:30, 3rd Grade at 6:00, and 5th graders at 6:30. Also, there will be beautiful student art work on display throughout the school building and even a Scholastic Book Fair for you to grab some new books! Hope to see you there!

Recently, the fifth grade had their 2nd Quarter Reward Party. Students who consistently had their work done and handed in on time during 2nd quarter enjoyed an afternoon of bowling. #fes #EaglesSoar
