❄️ Way to go, Fennimore Student Council! ❄️

Today, our amazing Student Council members took the plunge in La Crosse for a great cause — braving the cold and making a BIG impact! 🥶💙

Through their hard work and dedication, they raised approximately $3,980 to support the Special Olympics. We are proud of their leadership, school spirit, and commitment to giving back.

Thank you to everyone who donated and cheered them on. Fennimore pride is strong — even in freezing water!

Thank you, Tammy Nelson, for sharing her pictures with us! You can find them here: https://rusticroadphotography.smugmug.com/Polar-Plunge-2026/i-GT3482C/A

Don't forget tomorrow, Sunday, March 8, it’s time to "Spring Forward." While we might lose an hour of sleep, we’re gaining those beautiful, longer Southwest Wisconsin afternoons. Enjoy that extra sunshine, and we’ll see everyone—clocks set and ready—on Monday morning! #fcs #EaglesSoar

🏀 Final Score: Fennimore 51 – Cambridge 61

The boys basketball team battled hard tonight but came up short against Cambridge. Tonight also marked the final high school game for our seniors, Jude and Corey. Thank you both for your leadership, dedication, and the memories you’ve given to Fennimore basketball! 🦅

FES 5th graders shared the joy of reading this week during Read Across America Week by visiting 1st grade classrooms to read some of their favorite books together. It was great to see our oldest elementary students listening as the 1st graders showed off their new reading skills, and then returning the favor with some expressive reading of their own. In a close-knit school like ours, these moments remind us that we’re all one big family! #fes #EaglesSoar

What was your favorite book to read when you were little? Tell us in the comments! 👇

Big round of applause for our PBIS February Character Award winners!

This month, our classrooms and hallways were focused on the power of Self-Control. It’s not always easy to stop and think before we act, but these students showed incredible maturity and leadership. By mastering their actions and words, they are helping our school stay Respectful, Responsible, and Safe.

We are so proud of these young leaders for setting such a great example for their peers! #PBIS #FES #EaglesSoar

This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Kartman's First Grade Class. These first graders have been busy learning and growing! They’ve been working hard on reading words with r-controlled vowels and practicing two-syllable words. They just wrapped up The Green Fern Zoo in reading, where each student picked an animal to research and write about — with river otters as the class favorite! In math, they’ve been diving into place value. After President’s Day, they learned about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, wrote facts, and created fun projects to go along with their learning. They’ve also traveled back in time during their knowledge unit on ancient Egypt, exploring the Great Pyramid and the Great Sphinx. This school year is flying by, and this class is making the most of every minute! Keep up the great work 1st Graders!
