Did you know that skills like planning, staying focused, managing time, and self-control—called executive functioning skills—are key to your child’s learning and success? These skills help students make good choices, solve problems, and handle challenges with confidence.
By encouraging these skills at home and school, we can help children build strong habits, set goals, and develop the tools they need to thrive academically and personally. Every small step counts! #fes #EaglesSoar

Our 4th graders have had a busy last few weeks completing Forward Testing! To help prepare, students participated in a fun Easter egg hunt where they reviewed math questions in an engaging way. It was a great mix of learning and excitement!
After all their efforts, students also had time to celebrate their successes by participating in STEM activities. They worked together to build the longest chain out of paper and the tallest tower using index cards—showing creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Their teachers are so proud of their perseverance, dedication and all they have accomplished! #fes #EaglesSoar

Our PBIS Assembly brought the fun with a teacher challenge that had everyone laughing!
Staff competed in a fast-paced “Heads, Shoulders, Knees… and Touch the Plate!” game, showing off their quick reactions and school spirit. It all came down to Mrs. Yanna and Mrs. Langmeier in an exciting final round—congratulations to Mrs. Langmeier for coming out on top!
Thanks to all who participated and cheered them on—what a great way to celebrate being respectful, responsible, and safe! #fes #EaglesSoar

Eight of our students attended Grant County Government Day on April 1, hosted by the Grant County Veterans Legion.
Eligible juniors and seniors from Mr. Weber’s U.S. or American History classes with an interest in law, politics, or government had the opportunity to engage directly with local officials—including the Coroner, Deputy Sheriff, District Attorney, County Administrator, and Grant County Judges. Students also toured the jail and, in the afternoon, observed four real court cases in session.
An incredible hands-on experience bringing government and the justice system to life!

It’s hard to believe, but these smiling faces from years ago are now 5th graders! In just 6 short weeks, on Thursday, May 21st, we’ll celebrate them at our 5th Grade Recognition—and next year, they’ll be off to middle school.
We’ve loved watching them grow, learn, and become leaders in our school. From those early elementary days to now, they’ve come such a long way—and we couldn’t be more proud. Let’s cheer them on as they get ready for their next big adventure! #FES #EaglesSoar

Congratulations to community member Dixie Miles on receiving the WIAA Service Award in recognition of 30+ years of dedicated service to the Music Boosters concession stands and support of our school! Thank you, Dixie, for your unwavering commitment and the lasting impact you’ve made on Fennimore Schools and our students. We are truly grateful for all you’ve done! Here’s more about this well-deserved award:
Over many years, Mrs. Miles has put in 30 years as the coordinator of the Music Boosters Concession Group. The Music Boosters provide concessions for Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling, Middle School events, and Music events. Dixie has always donated her time and labor to provide students with valuable experiences through the Music Boosters concession Fund. Dixie is the current owner of the Rainbow Roller Rink, which also provides students the opportunity to learn to Roller skate. The P.E. program and the Elementary School have classes and Youth skates at the Rainbow Roller Rink throughout the year. We would like to present a plaque recognizing Mrs. Dixie Miles as Fennimore’s 2025-2026 District 5 Wisconsin Athletic Service Award winner. Congratulations, Mrs. Miles.
