Our Friday PBIS Assembly brought the fun with a sweet teacher challenge! Six teachers competed in the Conversation Hearts Challenge — shaking 20 hearts out of a cup and trying to get them all to land message-side up. The twist? They could set aside the hearts that landed correctly and keep shaking only the ones that were face down. It was trickier than it sounds! Congratulations to Mrs. Greenlee for coming out on top! This week’s Class of the Week is Mr. Rutkowski’s Third Grade Class! Recently, they have been excited to learn about Viking mythology and Norse explorers and even got the chance to go on a quest with Leif Erikson. Their next reading unit is on space and how big it really is! In math, they have been learning how to use their multiplication and addition skills to find the area and perimeter of geometric shapes. This semester they are welcoming Ms. Ward, a student teacher from UW-Platteville. Students have been very helpful in preparing her to take over her own classroom very soon!
