Our 5th grade science classes put their learning into action!
Students used their knowledge of gravity and air resistance to design and build parachutes that helped a diver safely land on a target. They created multiple prototypes, made improvements, and tested their designs along the way. It was hands-on learning, problem-solving, and creativity in action! #fes #EagleSoar

Our Fennimore 5th graders had a great day last week exploring history and nature! Their adventure began at the Villa Louis Historic Site and the Fur Trade Museum, where students learned more about Wisconsin’s early history and what life was like during the fur trade era. The group then traveled to Pikes Peak State Park, where they enjoyed the beautiful views of the Mississippi River and took a scenic hike down to Bridal Veil Falls. It was a fun day filled with learning, exploration, and memories with classmates! #fes #EaglesSoar

Earlier this school year, Mrs. Kamps’, Mrs. Bradley’s, and Ms. Lindquist’s classes adopted calves through the National Adopt a Cow program. Throughout the year, students followed their calves’ growth from birth to 6 months old while learning about dairy farming, what calves eat, where they are housed, and the dairy products they help produce.
Thanks to a grant from Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, the classes who participated in this year’s Adopt a Cow program had the exciting opportunity to meet their calves, Jam and Jelly, at Orthridge Dairy. The classes are so grateful to have a farm that participates in this program right here in their own backyard! #fes #EaglesSoar

Adam Riley, Class of 2018, served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Peru, where he supported high schools in implementing vocational orientation, civic engagement, and youth leadership programs. Following his two years of service, he was selected for a ten-month Fulbright grant to serve as an English Teaching Assistant in Botswana, where he works at a rural boarding school helping students strengthen their English skills and prepare for college entrance examinations.
