The Grant County Health Department will be giving the influenza vaccine at Fennimore Community Schools on Wednesday, Oct 19th. This is FREE for all children 18 and under. If you wish your child to receive this vaccine, you must fill out the influenza vaccine permission form located on our website. If you do not have access to a printer, there will be paper copies in each school building for pick-up. Kindergarten has been learning and doing all things "blue" this week. With this, they learned all about the police and enjoyed a great visit with our Fennimore Chief of Police, Officer French. Officer French visited with the kindergarten friends and shared all about his work as a policeman. This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Bunn's First Grade Class. Mrs. Bunn's first graders are off to a great start! They've had a lot of fun learning how to use their Chromebooks. The first weeks of school have been spent reviewing letters, sounds, numbers, and counting. They are looking forward to Homecoming, showing their school spirit, and watching the parade! The 2022-23 Homecoming Parade will begin tomorrow, Friday, Sept 23rd at 2:30 pm! Floats and other entries will line up along 7th Street. The parade will turn at the corner of 7th and Jackson, continue to 9th St, go around the St. Mary's parking lot, and end at Grant St. Be sure to cheer loudly for all of our students and businesses participating! Ms. Schwingle's Class was put to the challenge of engineering and building some paper cup structures. The first task was to build the tallest tower. The second task was to build a pyramid. The last was to build a wall structure big enough for the whole group to fit inside!
