Big Congratulations to Lucerito Acatzihua-Rodriguez!
Lucerito quietly crafted an incredible piece of art, pouring her creativity and vision into every detail. After a few casual check-ins and critiques with Mr. Cleveland, she submitted it to the Scholastic Art Show—and guess what? Her artwork was selected for display, earning her a Silver Key Award!
This is a HUGE accomplishment, especially since no other school from our area is represented in the show. Lucerito’s work will be showcased alongside entries from much larger schools at the Milwaukee Art Museum from Feb 1–Mar 16, 2025.
Let’s give her all the love and support she deserves!

This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Gunderson's Tuesday/Thursday 4K Class. It's been a busy time in 4-K! They have been learning about the color purple and the letter Jj. They learned about the Nursery Rhyme Little Jack Horner and made purple plum pies. They made purple crowns with jewels for the story of Harold's Fairy Tale, and made peanut butter and jelly sandwich collages. They are excited to be getting ready for Valentine's Day next! This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Bradley's 2nd Grade Class. This class is full of energy and excitement! They are kicking off their place value unit in math, and everyone is loving exploring numbers. During reading time, they are having a blast learning about nouns and verbs while practicing their reading skills. This week’s Class of the Week is Mrs. Greenlee’s 4th Grade Class. During math these fourth graders are learning about fractions and how to make them equivalent. In reading they are learning about the earth and the ways the earth can change. In science they are exploring different types of volcanoes and the types of lava that can erupt from them. They are also doing some activities to help them understand the process of weathering. The fourth graders are off to an excellent start with their learning in 2025! The school spelling bee for 4th and 5th graders was held last week at Fennimore Elementary. There were 12 participants in all. The hard fought battle for the champion went on for a long time between our 2 finalists - William Biba and Liam Griesel. William ended up taking home first place and Liam second place. Mrs. Reinke's Class teamed up with Mrs. Williams-Richter and Mrs. Raisbeck to make Butterfly Ornaments before the holidays. The students selected Milkweed seed pods, added color and decorations to personalize their ornaments. A good time was had by all! #fes #EaglesSoar
This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Kamps' 3rd Grade Class. Mrs. Kamps' Class just completed an ELA unit about Ancient Rome. They celebrated by participating in the Roman Games. In math, they have been working hard to learn their multiplication facts so they can automatically answer a problem. They even have a few students that completed the 0-10 donut multiplication challenge. The students are excited for a new calendar year full of learning and fun!
