Our first graders recently wrapped up their CKLA Knowledge unit on body systems and healthy habits. For their culminating activity, Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital generously donated surgical gear, allowing the students to dress up as "surgeons" while they assembled skeletons, played Operation, and had a great time! #fes #EaglesSoar

This week's Class of the Week is Mrs. Bunn's First Grade Class. Things have been very busy in room 18! They are learning about addition and subtraction and have been reading about a woman named Gran who took some pretty cool trips. Their classroom will be transformed into an operating room to wrap up their study of the human body systems this week. #EaglesSoar #fes

The PBIS Eagle Wing Tower was full and so all FES students got a chance to do some art in the hallway today. #EaglesSoar #fes

Last month, the third graders took a field trip to Folklore Village. The classes traveled through three different stations. One station was the old school house where the students learned about the school, who attended, and talked about the differences at our school. They also learned a few games and found out that their teachers were magic! A second station taught folk dancing including the broom waltz. In the last group, students learned about wool and made their own wool balls to take home. #fes #EaglesSoar

On Tuesday, October 29th, 6th Grade Beginning Band students had a spelling bee on music specific vocabulary. They were able to spell words like rhythm, metronome, and glockenspiel!

The Wisconsin Association of Foreign Language Teachers (WAFLT) recently held its annual Discover Languages Postcard Contest, and our talented FHS students had the opportunity to participate! This year’s theme was "Global Connections: Celebrating Cultural Fusion." Three of our students submitted beautiful, thoughtful postcards, and we're thrilled to announce that Lucerito Acatzihua-Rodriguez was one of the winners!
¡Felicidades, Lucerito! We are so proud of you for showcasing the beauty of cultural fusion through your art. Keep inspiring us all!

Miss Kim & Miss Barb's Early Childhood students have adopted a calf! Her name is Jacaranda and she lives right down the road in Lancaster. Please take a moment to vote for her and she can win a prize! She is adorable and we are so excited for the Adopt A Cow journey! 🐮 Thank you!

Wishing them the best of luck at the State Meet today! #fes #EaglesSoar

It was student/teacher challenge time this morning at our PBIS Assembly. Students could turn in Eagle Wings for the chance to compete. One student from each grade K-5 was drawn. Students had to try and toss as many small marshmallows they could into their teacher's cup. Coming in first with 24 marshmallows was the 4th Grade team of Mrs. Wienkes and Bradley. A close second, with 23 marshmallows, was the 1st grade team of Mrs. Kartman and Henry. Great job teachers and students! #fes #EaglesSoar

Our teachers turned up today as the most colorful crew around—a full box of crayons! Each one as bright, bold, and unique as our amazing students! 🌈
From red to green and everything in between, our FES staff is here to remind our students to color outside the lines, dream big, and make their mark! Happy Halloween from our colorful crew! 💙💚🩷 #fes #EaglesSoar #RRW2024 #HappyHalloween
